Barbie Boyd joined our staff as Director of Christian Education in May 2010. Barbie is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary and the University of Florida. She is passionate about helping people of all ages grow into true disciples of Jesus Christ, walking in the way that leads to life. She finds joy in teaching God’s Word and reaching out to others to share God’s unconditional love and acceptance. She senses a calling from God to pursue ordination in the United Methodist Church, and she is currently in that process as a certified candidate for Deacon. Barbie and her husband, Steve, have four middle school and high school aged children. Originally from the Midwest, Barbie currently resides in Winter Park with her family. Barbie’s focus areas at Sanlando United Methodist Church include ministry with children and adults, and she looks forward to getting to know you.
