Baptism marks the beginning of our lifelong journey as followers of Jesus Christ. Through baptism, we are joined with God and become a part of God’s covenant family through our local congregation. The water is a symbol of the work of the Holy Spirit, conveying God’s saving grace, the forgiveness of our sins, and new life in Jesus Christ. Persons of any age may be baptized – infants, children, youth and adults. We baptize in a variety of ways – immersion, pouring, or sprinkling. A person is baptized only once in his or her life.

Once per year, in the fall, we offer Confirmation for youth in 7th – 12th grades. Youth will learn more about what it means to follow Jesus and what it means to be a United Methodist in an experiential and fun way, making friends with other youth and getting to go on a weekend retreat.
