Goal of Children’s Ministries

Kids are important to us! We provide a safe and positive atmosphere for children to learn and grow in their relationship with God and each other. They have opportunities to learn, make new friends, help others, and have fun. Children's Ministry is interactive, experiential, and includes Bible teachings via crafts, games and other activities. Safety and security is a priority to us. Our staff and volunteers are background screened and trained.

RESUMES Sept. 8, 2019

Child and Youth Protection Policy (CYPP) training TBD immediately following the 11:00 Worship Service (lunch will be served) on the stage side of the Fellowship Hall.  Training should last no longer than two hours.

As part of the policy, all volunteers are required to receive reoccurring training in our CYPP. This year we will be hosting two training opportunities. These meetings will be Sunday, August 4th at 12:30pm, and Sunday, August 11th at 12:30pm. All volunteers who regularly work with infants, children, or youth at Sanlando MUST attend ONE of the two meetings. Lunch and childcare will be provided.

This REQUIRED training is only for those adults  that anticipate volunteering with any child or youth ministry within in Sanlando United Methodist Church (Sunday School, Youth, Children’s Church, Children’s Choir, etc.), and have not yet taken the class.  This is for the safety not only of our Sanlando Children and Youth, but our volunteers as well.
