fbreads Subject:  God Does Not Want Anyone to be Destroyed

SCRIPTURE:  But do not forget one thing, my dear friends! There is no difference in the Lord's sight between one day and a thousand years; to him the two are the same.  The Lord is not slow to do what he has promised, as some think. Instead, he is patient with you, because he does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants all to turn away from their sins.  2 Peter 3: 8 & 9

OBSERVATION:    God is so very patient.  He gives us every opportunity to turn away from our sins.  He is always at work in our lives leading us/encouraging us/offering hope to us.  Time is not a problem for Him.  He works tirelessly to win our hearts and souls from the world's destructive influence.  One day is no different than a thousand years.  He is rich in mercy and forgiveness and grace and love.  He knows how to bring victory over sin.  All we have to do is to keep our eyes and hearts and minds centered on Him.  If we do, then we will be blessed.

APPLICATION:   I am so very thankful for God's patient work in my life.  He never gives up on me.  I am humbled by His attention.

PRAYER:   Father, I love You back!  Amen!!

fbreads Do Not Be Afraid

SCRIPTURE
:  Israel, the Lord who created you says, "Do not be afraid - I will save you. I have called you by name - you are mine. 2 When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burned; the hard trials that come will not hurt you. 3 For I am the Lord your God, the holy God of Israel, who saves you. Isa. 43:1-3a

OBSERVATION:    God will save His chosen ones.  He encourages us to not be afraid.  He will call us, each one, by name.  He reminds us that we are His.  So when we pass through the deep waters, we will not be overwhelmed.  When we pass through fire, the hard trials will not hurt us.  He is our God, the Holy One, who saves His chosen ones.  He knows us, each one by name.  Wow!

APPLICATION:   I know this shimmering scripture to be true.  I have been in deep waters.  I have walked through the "fire".  And He has saved me over and over.  I cannot say that I was afraid, yet I kept my strong faith in my Lord and He did not disappoint.

PRAYER:   My Lord, you are my Savior-Deliverer.  I love You with my humble life!  Amen!!

fbreads Personal Instructions

SCRIPTURE:   "...man of God; Strive for righteousness, godliness; faith, love, endurance and gentleness.  Run your bet in the race of faith, and win eternal life for yourself; for it was to this life that God called you when you firmly professed your faith before many witness..."  1 Timothy 6:11-12

OBSERVATION:   Our life of faith can be seen/understood as a race in which we are always moving toward a goal line: eternal life.  Paul uses the word "strive".  We, who are disciples of Jesus, have clear directions  for living day by day.  Righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness are all together a life of Piety.  This is a life that honors/pleases God.  This is a life that is good/abundant/rewarding fulfilling.  There is no better life that we can imagine.  How much or how little we possess does not take away from the Life in Piety. Glory be to God!!

APPLICATION:  I do not desire to become rich in anything except the things of God and His Kingdom.  If I have Christ living in me, as the Lord of my life, I have all I need to live Joyfully!

PRAYER:  O Lord, help me to run the race you have set for me.  I love You!! Amen!!
