On behalf of the Outreach Ministry, welcome to Sanlando United Methodist Church. Sanlando is a wonderfully nurturing church home that is committed to nurturing our entire community.
We call it Salty Service. It's taken from Matthew 5:13-16 in which Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount describes us as being the salt of the earth and tells us, all who are blessed are called to responsibility.
Our church has an impressive outreach history but in the current economic environment, there are many more in the 434-corridor who need our help, our compassion and our ministry.
We offer numerous and varied opportunities for you to get involved. From working at the Food Pantry to hosting Bingo parties at nursing homes, from crafting with seniors to supporting the unemployed in some of our poorer communities, thee are opportunities for everyone.
If you would like to become more involved contact Dee Spiller at 407-571-2100 ext 111

There are many opportunities to get involved in Salty Service at the Cornerstone Nursing facility where our Sanlando volunteers provide fun, fellowship and gifts of their service each month throughout the year.
A team of volunteers provides twice monthly nail care services to the elderly. The service is not only cosmetic; it also provides a personal hygiene service that the elderly often lack.
Another Sanlando team provides monthly arts and crafts programs where the residents enjoy fun and fellowship.
Another Sanlando group decorates the dining area for Christmas and prepares a special holiday meal and bingo party.

Sanlando Salty Servants host a monthly Birthday Party and Bingo event for the residents of Pathways to Care, a medical facility for poor, medically underserved adults.
Our members call Bingo and host a birthday party, in hopes of providing a diversion from their medical concerns. Each month many residents turn out for the afternoon event and look forward to winning prizes and eating birthday cake.

Pathways To Care is a 40-bed, non-profit respite center dedicated to providing short term recuperative care to adults who need a supportive environment where they can heal and recuperate after hospitalization.
Join in the fellowship. In 2010 events will be held on Fridays from 1pm to 3pm. For a complete listing, call the Outreach office at ext 111

In 2008, Sanlando adopted Mobile Manor, an underserved community off State Road 434 at Wekiva Springs Road. Partnering with the Seminole County Sheriff's office, we work to bring fellowship and service to its residents by hosting community events to build bridges.

We established a Community Picnic that is held in October, and a Christmas Parade in December, complete with Mr. & Mrs. Claus and elves.
Salty Servants are needed to assist with all aspects of these events.
