On behalf of the Outreach Ministry, welcome to Sanlando United Methodist Church. Sanlando is a wonderfully nurturing church home that is committed to nurturing our entire community.
We call it Salty Service. It's taken from Matthew 5:13-16 in which Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount describes us as being the salt of the earth and tells us, all who are blessed are called to responsibility.
Our church has an impressive outreach history but in the current economic environment, there are many more in the 434-corridor who need our help, our compassion and our ministry.
We offer numerous and varied opportunities for you to get involved. From working at the Food Pantry to hosting Bingo parties at nursing homes, from crafting with seniors to supporting the unemployed in some of our poorer communities, there are opportunities for everyone.
If you would like to become more involved contact Dee Spiller at 407-571-2100 ext 111 or email

There are many opportunities to get involved in Salty Service at the Cornerstone Nursing facility where our Sanlando volunteers provide fun, fellowship and gifts of their service each month throughout the year.
A team of volunteers provides twice monthly nail care services to the elderly. The service is not only cosmetic; it also provides a personal hygiene service that the elderly often lack.
Another Sanlando team provides monthly arts and crafts programs where the residents enjoy fun and fellowship.
One of our small groups decorates the dining area for Christmas and prepares a special holiday meal and plays bingo with residents.
If you would like to join our team, please contact Dee Spiller in the Outreach office.

Sanlando Supports Camp Pioneer
Camp Pioneer is a summer camp for mentally challenged young adults. Each year Sanlando members volunteer their time as "buddies." Buddies partner up with the
young adults to help them experience the fun of camp with crafts, bible study, swimming and boating.
If you are at least 18 years-old and are looking for a rewarding volunteer experience, please consider participating in the one-day, summer program or the one-week program.
Sanlando members have participated since 1998 and welcome anyone who can
volunteer a few hours of their time at the Life Enrichment Center at the Methodist Camp in Fruitland Park. Summer Camp 2011 will be held July 10 - July 16, so mark your calendar.Visit their Website at: www.lecretreats.org
