Will you open your heart and home to a child in need? The Florida United Methodist Children’s Home has a long history of helping children and families in crisis. As part of that effort they opened the Orlando/Osceola office of Open Hearts Family Services in 2009 at Reeves United Methodist Church in Orlando to recruit foster care parents. There is an urgent need for foster families in Orlando now as there are an increasing number of children who are unable to remain in their own homes. Becoming a foster family is one way members of our church can become involved in this ministry. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity to open your heart and home to one or more children who desperately need a safe, Christian haven from their troubled lives. Any family who is considering becoming a foster family should call Tony Manzolillo or Jennifer Hill at 407-895-6421, or visit http://www.allchildrenfirst.org for more information. Throughout the year SUMC supports the Florida United Methodist Children's Home. A collection is taken on the last Sunday of the month in every month that has 5 Sundays - known as our Fifth Sunday Offering. We also tour the facility once a year.
