| LIVING IN REVERENCE FOR GOD |

 Subject: Holy LivingSCRIPTURE: "So then let us purify ourselves from everything that makes the body or soul unclean, and let us be completely holy by living in reverence for God." 2 Cor. 7:1 OBSERVATION: The attitude of the mind and heart is very important. They do govern how we live from moment to moment. They shape our focus for living. When we live to honor God - to love God completely - to serve God with all our strength - to live lives that bring glory to His name - to worship God without ceasing, then we reverence God. We must run away from everything that makes our bodies or our souls unclean. This does not mean that our lives are now without sin. We are flesh and blood and will always be sinners, but sinners who are continually redeemed by the blood of Jesus. We are made holy not by our deeds but by our faith in and love for God. APPLICATION: This is our life's continual struggle, the battle between honoring God and giving in to the world. Without God's grace - love - forgiveness I would be lost. With God's help, I do reverence Him with my humble life. PRAYER: Father God help me with your strength to reverence You everyday of my life. Amen!! |
